I built my own CMS because wordpress is stupid
After wasting away weeks trying to get the look i wanted for my blog, i decided i had enough and wrote my own PHP and Markdown flat file content management system, which is currently running this very pages you are reading.
This means that i can write a simple text file, upload it and it is shown istantaneously; no database, no lags, no failures, no retarded backend, no plugins that break, no updates that destroy your configuration, no bullshit; minimalism at its best.
Things might need polishing or even break in the next few days, but i will be easily able to fix them as i progress.
What do i have right now:
- Showing articles
- Relating pictures to articles
- Related content to the article that is being read
- Search
- Categories
- Speed
- Ads
- Automagic email backups
Life is good and so am i.
